This chart was written as a tongue in cheek belated wedding gift to the first ever married couple in the UNT One O’Clock Lab Band: Natalie and Kai Wagner. They both love old style swing music so this chart was designed to meet that criteria while featuring them at the same time. It’s a blast from the past while still being fun and fresh.

The chart has a solo for Alto 1 and Bass as well as a duet between the two out front. There’s short solis for the horns as well as a classic big band shout section. The chart is well rounded and achievable while also being a good gateway into Count Basie style swing music.
