This chart is something I wrote in college as a tribute to some of my favorite funk artists of the time. I was inspired by Justin Lee-Shultz arrangement of “Do I Do” and some other Stevie Wonder songs and arrangements as well as the band “Funkyard X ” from Cleveland Ohio. I wanted to meld combo with big band with this in-between instrumentation as well as show off my pedal board that I spent a couple years assembling for Trombone. The arrangement can be a lot of fun if you get the right group of people together!
